The Check · five tests · sixty seconds
Preflight for the banks that hold your cash.
Pick your banks in Panamá, Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador or Nicaragua and how the cash is split. Five tests run on the Register's data, in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you ask us to watch them.
Where does the cash sit?

The thresholds are ours, written down so you can disagree: one bank above 50% of the cash; two banks in one group; a change of owner or a merger within 24 months; a loan book down more than 5% in twelve months; all the cash under one sovereign. Change-of-owner history is on file for Panamá; for the other countries, not yet.
3 · The Watch
We write when one of them changes.
For banks in Panamá: owner, licence, merger, or a sharp move in its loan book, as the SBP records it, in the month it appears. Banks elsewhere stay on your list; their alerts start when we add those regulators to the Watch. Free with the brief. Reading members also get the analysis.
